It’s been a while – MMA Fight, Workouts, and Conditioning?

Hello All,

It’s been a while since I’ve posted on Martialfighter.com. Mostly because I’ve been quite busy with other aspects: training, working, etc., and really didn’t have much inspiration to write. But now I do!

So, big news! I’ve finally decided to take my first MMA fight at most likely 205lbs. I will be hopefully fighting on April 25th at Reality Fighting in Plymouth, MA. This will be my first pro-fight, and I’ve already started training (need to drop 45lbs….)

Last Night (1/6/09) was one of my biggest training sessions / days yet. I ran 3 miles in the morning with the dogs, which went surprisingly well, and then trained at a new MMA gym run by Brian Olsen: New England MMA Fitness (www.nemmafitness.com). Brian has a great set of equipment and a cage and is a wealth of MMA training knowledge. I then went to my normal BJJ class right after. That was tough. I was tired, cramping and just didn’t have the strength to execute good technique.

I’ll post my training regime later, along with my progress in weight loss. I’ll also going to updating the site with more cool videos and techniques

    Good to have ya back writing. I was beggining to wonder of anyone was even paying attention to the site. I just started back in traing after a 14 year absence. Looks like we weigh about the same. I’m currently working on my striking and conditioning with boxing and kickboxing. once i’m in a better physical ocndition i can start adding grappling and take downs to my training. Man its hard.
