As a long time practitioner of Lau Gar I can say that the article on that site about Lau Gar is a little misleading. The pictures of Master Jeremy Yau shouldn't really be there. The style that he teaches is an amalgamation of Hakka style (Master Yau is Hakka) & Southern Praying Mantis style kung fu. He was taught these by his grandfathers. His maternal grandfather was called Lau & that is who he named his system after. This system is the one taught in Britain - although Hung Gar style includes a set of movements from authentic Lau Gar as part of its syllabus.

I should add that I started out as one of Master Yau's students & my submission of the above information is not meant to denigrate either Master Yau or the style he teaches.
