Hm.. Yeah, I know that he wished he hadn't named it. And my opinion is that JKD is a style, but that Bruce Lee was without a style. He is not JKD. JKD was something he created before he stopped believe in styles.

But isn't that a circle argument? Hor can you really feel what works best before you have trained it first? Don't you have to be instructed something first, before you can understand if it's worth to train on or not?
And Bruce himself tought certain techniques on certain ways and had some very exact rules about things, for example that you should have your strongest side first, never do anything more comlicated than nessecary and such. And that's the way he thought Ted Wong, for example, all the time to his death. |
