JKD is a
PHILOSOPHY written by Bruce Lee. You
CANNOT learn it from a book. You can read what Bruce wrote about it in his book, "Tao of Jeet Kune Do". You can buy it at any bookstore for @ $15.00. It's a good book, but a long read.
In a nutshell, the philosophy states that you should learn everything you can from all forms of combat, take what is applicable for you and what works for you and throw away the rest.
I would suggest that you read the book first and then form your conclusion as to what you should do about trying to learn JKD and/or applying it...
