I tell them the same thing Bruce said in his book "JKD is NOT a style". It amazes me how many people have actually read the last page in Tao of Jeet Kune Do - Bruce's own words written in black and white - and will say they study/teach JKD... 
It's a philosophy on fighting - not a style of fighting.
