I'd never think that of anyone without knowing their ways in the first place, and that actually corresponded to them! My argument was, that the smiley in there did not neccesarily imply that it was a joke. And, i happened to interpret that it was not, probably because i have a tendancy to take things seriously unless i have reason to believe otherwise, and, i guess, for once, i read it, and for once, the thought did not occur to me that it might be a joke.
