thanks guys, so i followed your advice and downloaded a file converter and used it to convert the files to mpeg (only one of them actually needed to be converted apparently) and i ended up with an mpeg format video that i can watch in RealPlayer when i want. but...now when I try to upload it on youtube it won't upload. arg! it will say "uploading" and then stay like that forever. and at the bottom of the page it will load all the way til the loading bar is full, as if it's just about to say "your upload was successful" and then it stays like that....it's frustrating. any ideas? thanks again for all the help.

I don't know a lot about computers, but can't you upload it via yousendit.com or megaupload.com?

I'll ask my friend about uploading videos to youtube tomorrow. Well... today. It's 2:50 A.M. and I just got home from the movies. The Messengers was a really bad movie, but it ended up being really funny because everyone in the theatre was adding their own commentary.

i'm embarrassed. i think the file was over 100 mb, so it wasn't uploading. how stupid of me. but i still can't figure out how to cut it into two peices. i might just give the dvd to matt and have him do it. he's a whiz and whatnot. thanks for the help though.

cut the movie in half and compress to your favorite size.

upload and crosslink to the other video(s).
