| Here's a step-by-step tutorial. http://www.wikihow.com/Rip-DVDs If you need any help with one of the steps, send me a PM and I'll look into it. I'm not sure how good the encryption is with this program, but I can find you a better one if it's bad.

| What kind of file extensions did it create and how many files are there? Are you sure you didn't click some kind of option to split it up into several segments? I'd check that first. If there's no option for that, check to see if there's a way to compile them into one file (It's weird if they have this.) I don't see any reason for the program to be splitting your DVD into more than one or two files. It sounds like it's trying to seperate it into different scenes. If it's trying to do that, you might have better luck with http://www.mrbass.org/dvdshrink/ . But yeah, let me know more about the files it created.

| Oppy, Stazzy is only 17 but is a whiz in this stuff. Among his other redeeming qualities. He can probably fix it. If still having problems, I have an IT guru who is on this site as well, and a student of mine, that can look at it. Stazzy, you know I am talking about John. | | | | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 1969 Posts: 5,449

| .vob files are the video. .bup files are backups of the .ifo files and contain the exact same information. .ifo files contain information about chapters, audio and subtitles. If you just want the A/V to watch and enjoy on your PC, then copy the .vob files to the directory of your choice and use a media player with a codec that can read .vob files. My personal favorite is VideoLAN's VLC media player, which is absolutely free and reads every video format I've come across.

| Thanks TTT. You might have to use a .vob to .mpeg converter to put the file on youtube. Well, I'm not sure what file types youtube accepts, but I'm sure there is a converter out there for you, especially if it's something common like mpeg or avi. If you're having trouble finding one, just type in "vob to [whatever youtube accepts] converter" in the google search bar. Don't be fooled into paying anything for it either. You should be able to get one w/o having to use a free trial or pay software.

I just know how to research a topic when I need to know something about it. It also helps if the topic at hand is of questionable legality >_>. I don't know too much about getting the files I need the way the government wants you to get them...paying for them.
Warez for life. Might as well call me Captain Jack Sparrow.
