Default Status updates!

All righty,

In an effort to get things going again after what looks like a lengthy ice age, I've started this thread to stimulate further topics of conversation elsewhere.

Status updates, people! What's going in your lives and journeys in a martial arts sense and otherwise?

For myself, I've been living and working back in Singapore for almost two years now and loathing it. Recently qualified as a CST instructor and really enjoying all the RMAX conditioning work. Boxing's ground to a standstill due to my work hours clashing with my coach's, but I'm still stubbornly holding out for private sessions in the new year. Meantime, I've taken up Wing Chun on the side and am fighting to get my Systema training crew up and running again. I may also be looking at re-testing for my Goju-ryu black belt under my old sensei as a career move. Am also fighting a cold as I type this.

So that's my life as a martial artist in a nutshell - who's next?

sup guys,i guess i'll go next...few months too late but, eh.

well, last november i started training under vitor shaolin ribiero, he moved to nyc last spring and opened up his own school which is pretty awesome, he's a really cool guy.

as if that wasn't insane enough, eduardo telles came into town this week and he's gonna be co-teaching with shaolin next week and teaching some of the classes as shaolin prepares for his next fight...two world class black belts, one school= insanity! coincidentally enough i'm also fighting a cold as i type this

Hey guys!

I'm still teaching Kobukai Ju-Jitsu as well as training heavily for a MMA fight in July. Been working a lot of boxing, kickboxing, no-gi grappling, wrestling and specific MMA tactics.

It's all going well, feeling good. Glad to see you guys around!

Nice to hear from you both. I really enjoy your blog posts, Matt, especially the ones that cross the divide between ring and street - keep 'em coming, and all the best for that fight in July!
