I sense a little hostility in setsu.....

Yeah, I would say just move out of the way, set up a better angle of attack and come in hard.

wuming

Few days ago friend of mine ask me to pick up here relativ on airport and wait with him for few hours while she finish with work. She told he is queer, but that guy was totaly 100% freak. For two hours he was talking about martial arts, everything started when I mention some boxing fight that was on TV, than he start how boxing is 100% crap, how he was in ilegal muai thay fights, how he once broke all bones in his fists so he had to finish guy with his elbows, about his one 1 on 15 fights, how police call him when they had problem with some gang... I never in my life heard so many SF stories in so short time.
Maybe I was inspired with that guy when I wrote all that about chi.

I'm not sure if you realize it or not but in english "queer"is no longer used to mean strange very often, queer means gay, and freak means a sexualy perverse or willing to do anithing type of person.

well she told me that he is strange, but that guy was totaly 100% idiot.

Thanks Bamboo

When dealing with an aggressive attacker there are typically two things I do. One is what TTT mentioned. Protecting your head and making a shield, and then crash into your opponent. This leaves you in a good position to get overhook or underhooks and control the person's punches and body.

The other thing I do, is they are swinging wildly at my head level, I simply change my level and go for a bodylock or double-leg attack. But the double-leg attack is not a drop step attack, rather just going for a dump that puts them on their back and allows to you get away safely.

For me, from a grapplers perspective, the key thing is that if you try to dodge, move away, and counter, you eventually will get hit. It's just going to happen.

I want to get them in my range.

If I was a striker, I'm sure my response would be quite different.
