Default Why do everyone hate Taekwon do?

This has been re-hashed so many times it's not even funny.

PS this is a rant, not a question, it doesn't belong here.

I think Drew may be right... this guy is a troll (hopefully).

I mean, if not, he's just stupid. "Karate uses more power and even a single blow can be fatal. No Karate move cannot be practiced well without using full power." Unfortunately a lot of people get suckered into believing that (but with any MA, not just karate). Their instructors tell their students that as an excuse for not sparring. Then the students never get realistic feedback about their abilities and never learn how to fight.

The human body isn't so fragile.

and OMG, Lord Z... I also suspect that you might be a troll -- a pretty good one, though. " 45 minute sessions." A 60 minute session is kind of short, if you factor in the warming up. But, damn, 45 minutes? I'd be very reluctant to pay for that.

People hate it because they suck at it; that it.

why are you even asking a question, you obviously hate TKD and thus anything anyone says will not change your mind. your belief will only change when you get the crap beat out of you by a real Tae Kwon Do practitioner

Seeing as its the most widely practiced martial art on the face of the planet there are bound to be a lot of bad schools to give it a bad name (ATA schools in particular). Add that onto the fact that it has no effective hand techniques (don't even try and argue that...you wont be successful) as well as no ground techniques, and the kicks are focused mainly on speed and range as opposed to power and you have your answer.

a TKD spinning back kick counter to a roundhouse is pretty sweet though, effective as well. It can generate power quickly.
