i love the way he just jumps into the bushes...then stays still, like he's invisible...If you look at the title of the video it's like "Hatsumi Soke?"

I'm suprised he didn't just hold some leaves in his hands and act like a tree.

***Maybe if I'm still, he won't see me***

I own this video, blatently overstylized with certain points grossly exaggerrated. Each waza is "demonstrated" in this fashion by Hatsumi's students, then cuts to footage of Hatsumi himself walking through it and showing henka... and that movement is nothing remotely like what is seen here.

I've heard that movement is made ridiculously over-the-top and blocky like this on the Quest videos partly to ferrit out those "kata collectors" who try to learn from video and books alone, while still serving as a reference to good students.

I've actually started to see progressively more interesting stuff going on in those clips with time in training. Not that I'm a "good student" by any stretch of the imagination... but I can appreciate that some of the points are meant to be "figurative" (such as the leaping into the grass)

If you want another amusing video (which actually has some fun throw reversals and exercises in body movement): http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...3395&q=hatsumi
