I've just began my study of shorei-ryu, coming from a backround of shito-ryu. I keep combining the two styles. like instead of using the traditional shorei empi I use the lower shito. Not consciously mind you, I'm just having a hard time with the transition. Any advice you can give on the learning of different styles would be helpful.

I have practiced a few different styles over the years. Sometimes by choice sometimes the dojo would change things.

Just take your time. Don't sweat the small stuff. It takes a lot of concentration especially if you are doing the same forms only differently.
