It is my pleasure to announce the result of our latest black belt grading tests. Four students were promoted to 1 Dan -Shodan in Dokan Ryu Ju Jutsu after a hard test:
Sempai Tobias Axell (started training 1999)
Sempai Göte Tolvteus (started training 199
Sempai Andreas Mattsson(started training 2000)
Sempai Jonas Gondinger (started training 2001)
All students of Dokan Dojo (Honbu Dojo), Gothenburg, Sweden.

First congratulations to you and your students.

I have a question: In the system I trained in and the various dojos I have had the pleasure of practicing in there was always only one senior student or sempai. Does dokan have a senior student or do all that reach shodan take the title? Just wondering as different systems do it different ways.

Thanks for your congartulations.

We have the following titles for the black belt grades:

1-2 Dan Sempai
3 Dan Sensei

Other titles (renshi, shihan....) belongs to the Shogo-grades and dont follows the Dan-promotion.
