Default I'm looking for a way to start WC

Ok little info of myself. I've always been interested in MAs since I was little and have studied it best I could but could never take classes (Time spent on school an Football).

I've done TKD tried Shotokan both were ok but not what I was looking for. I fell in love with BJJ and will continue training in it for long as I live but I have always had a great interest in WC sense the day I heard of it, from friends, news, etc. Unfortunately I live in US, LA and there is not a single school in the state. So far my only option is to learn what little I can from books and videos but I don't want to purchase just any book, something someone with experience can voice for.

Can anyone give me some good suggestions on how I can learn WC, or should I just stick to my BJJ?

It'll most likely take years for me to get to where I can move to a location where there is a school but I don't want to wait to get started, yet at the same time I don't want to develop bad habits or train incorrectly.

If by LA you mean the state and not city I find it difficult to believe that there is no WC in the entire state. My google-jitsu turned up several on the first search. If you mean the city in california same deal.

Personally, I'd stick with bjj for now but then thats just me..

ok thanks. I will be sticking with BJJ, it's already helped me out in several ways.

In LA I meant state. Sorry I'll learn to be more specific.

I tried searching for the WC schools again, and manage to find one in Barksdale that taught WC, Tai chi, with some Qui Gong I believe.

By sheer curiousity I'm gonna try to pursue it some and try to understand more what WC is about in a more hand on manner.

Styles Like WC and Mantis are very interesting to me, an assistant TKD teacher I know used to train in Mantis and showed me some of the hand and reflex drills of which I found to be most entertaining and very beneficial.

Anyway thanks for the notice. (ok I'm done typing, I talk to much on subjects of MAs.)

the hips drive the power, and the rear foot is the engine...the 1 inch and 3 inch punch are the example
