-This might question seems basic and simple, but I wanted to know where abouts the Chinese martial arts get the lineage of the different animal names depicting the different styles, and are the movments all based off that particular creature?

The Chinese were not the first to use the animal names. In India they used forms of the Lion, Elephant, Snake etc. These forms TMK came about by observing animals behaviors, abilities and mannerism. The same was done in the Chinese system TMK. For instance the Tiger is powerful, fast and direct, so the Chinese developed a system based on the Tiger that was powerful, fast and direct.
