I like the Ed Parker tourny one. That's hilarious. I'd be upset too. Damn student obviously hadn't been practicing his Iron Throat techniques

Oooooh, that sight realy pissed me off. I have never read about many of these incidents. As a practioner of sword only I do not try and pas myself of as expert in anything else but what I am expert in, swordsmanship. Reading about these incidents really makes me angry.

One of my biggest pet peves in the martial arts world is Dojo owners who teach empty hand being so arogant as to think that they can now learn the sword easily. They read a few books, watch some videos, and walla, they are suddenly a master, ready to put on demos. It's all about attracting new students, but the sheer arrogance of it all makes me so mad.

The guy where the single pin fell out, what kind of swordsman is this. His sword flew through the air, killed some 12 year old kid. That is why double pinning is good, and why I also just resin mine into the grip. Never can be too safe indeed.

I have seen the video where the dumb ass cuts open his students throat along with cuting a cucumber in half. The guy just walks away as if nothing happened, while his students lays there and bleeds. Good lord.

And the theatrical troup, with the wire grip and sharpened swords. What the hell, only cheap replica swords have that wire wrap, it's no good at all for practical use, sweat, water, slippery, good lord.

Guy catching the sword after twirling it? Who the hell twirls a razor shapr katana up in the air and trys to catch it. Serves no purpose whatsoever, and Kensei says, your an idiot.

Some dumb ass lost his thumb while drawing the sword. I tell all of you, wrap the throat of your sword with a high strength thread while the blade is still in it, and scabbard splitting will not happen, good lord.

Those stories make me sick. Amatuers passing themselves off as skilled swordsman. They hurt themselves I have little sympathy, but when they kill others, or hurt them badly, and no charges are filed, oooh, makes me so mad.

Don't learn sword from an empty hand dojo is first word of adive. A good sword teacher will only teach sword, and there are not many, but seek them out anyhow. Commercial dojos are for the most part watered down, there to make money, and will give you a false sense of your own skill, which could get others, or yourself, killed.
