Gong, the ken onion line is a great set of knives, but not exactly what you want as far as tactical knives are concerned. The reason I say that is because of the handle on the leek (no guard makes it very easy to slip). In my humble opinion the best production tactical folders are benchmades. I myself carry a cold steel ti-lite with a titanium handle, and I love it. It's hard to say which particular knife is the best. It all depends on what you're looking for and the size/shape of your hand. My advice to anyone looking for a tactical knife is to make the handle and the sheath a priority.

I got a new toy!!! I just bought a CRKT M-18 folder and am in love with it. It's got smooth action and absolutely no play on the blade when it's open. It's a liner lock, but it's got CRKT's LAWKS system, which pretty much makes it impossible for the lock to fail. It's a Carson design and with the Carson flipper it's pretty much as fast as an automatic knife. This sucker has tactical folder written all over it. Plus it was shaving sharp out of the box. I got it for about $80 and it's a lot of knife for the money.

Grrrr...how dare you setsu! insulting my new favorite toy It is a pocket knife, but it's quite a large one. In fact, the blade is the same size as the cold steel mini tac I purchased earlier. Unfortunately, I can't carry around any large fixed blades, because they attract a bit too much attention (besides, it'd be a little difficult trying to conceal a 9" bowie). I've also noticed that carrying a fixed blade attracts much more attention than pocket knives, even though most of my folders are larger than many small fixed blades.

Iron Knuckles

It was just joke, actualy in my opinion CRKT M-18 is exelent pocket knife, and can be very usefull. Its not too long blade, noone will not make you problems becouse you have it, when you have something to cut or something like that it can be realy usefull and what is realy advantage of that caind of knife becouse you can always take it out and it whant shock people around you. If you work something and take out 10" blade knife to cut some rope people will call police or in best case just think that you are lunetic, but if you take out CRKT M-18 everything will be just normal.
I have one knife, not CRKT M-18, but similar to it in my pocket all the time and I dont count it as weapon, its just usefull pocket knife and I needed it milion times.
