How did you prepare for your first bout?
How long did you have to train for it?
Specifically for my first fight, I only had a two week notice. I had about 4 years of training under my belt though at the time.
Did you focus on holes in your game or on what you do best?
Personally, I just worked on basics under alot of pressure. Hands up, chin down, sprawling. That kind of thing.
Did you have knowledge on your opponent and work a gameplan to that?
No idea who I was fighting until the night of.

Did you have a specific fitness program?
Cardio, cardio, cardio
Did you have to lose or cut weight or did you have to develop strength?
I cut about 5lbs
How did you deal with preparation mentally?
I tried to zone out and kinda emotionally detach myself from the fight.
How did you react mentally to your win or loss?
I was bouncing off the walls happy.
Please explain! I was offered a semi-pro contest last night but injury has put that out of the question. But I imagine it musnt be long now until I am offered another but I know my game has a lot of holes, hence a lot of questions!
