Since this was mentioned in the Chuck Norris thread, I thought I'd bring the discussion here.

I've just managed to catch Chuck vs Wanderlei, still looking for St Pierre vs Hughes, though I already know the results.

First impression of Chuck vs Wandy: is it just me, or was Wandy fighting completely out of character? Also, someone mentioned he looked underweight and tired, and I have to agree, though it was a sight better than all the steroid muscle he'd put on for his last few PRIDE fights. Still, he looked like he'd just survived massive blood loss or something. He sure fought like all the fire had gone out of him, too.

Well the GSP fight was a freaking clinic. The armbar ending resulting from a triangle setup was exactly how we practice it in class...perfect textbook.
The reaping throw the GSP pulled off in the second round when hughes tried to take his legs was gorgeous. Just beautiful.

Regarding the pride guys- with the exception of Quinton Jackson, they all seem to look tired, underweight and out of sorts.

On another note- anyone see fedor quiety sub choi? That was one boring fight aside from the freak show of david vs. goliath.

A good website that I just found recently was www.mmalinker.com. You have to register but they had all the televised fights shortly after. Hughes vs. St. Pierre was a great fight I thought.

I also thought the M-1 Yarenoka fight card was pretty good as well. Some great fights.

I finally caught the GSP-vs-Hughes fight, and I am frankly surprised at how little of a fight Hughes put up. GSP is top-notch, no doubt, but I would have expected Hughes to at least make him work for that victory. Instead, Hughes was pretty much GSP's ragdoll for most of the match, and he was pretty out of character, too.
