Staying In Shape Tips?: Old Forum Topic Staying In Shape Tips?

Do you think exercising a little bit every other day is more effective than exercising a LOT in one day? For example, doing 20 sit-ups a day or doing 500 on the weekend? Does your answer apply to all types of "working out"? For example, doing rounds on a bag, stretching, etc.... Thank you

It is best to do it often. You should give no more than two days between your workouts, when you are lifting and such. Cardio should be done once every day, or atleast every other day. MA training is done differently, some people train once a week, some train three times a day seven days a week.

I train 6 days a week for martial art training.
Cardio can also be done everyday.
But Weight training is different. It depends on which muscle you worked on and what result you want.
If you want to be defined, you can train everyday with light weight and work on every muscle groups.
If you want to get bigger, lift heavy weight. You should separate the muscle. e.g Train upper body one day, and next day you do lower body. I read this from Arnold Schwarzenegger. But he is crazy so he also train everyday. why do you think he manage to get so big.

How did he get so big? Steroids.

I had a health teacher who told me once that Arnold admitted to taking steroids at a time. I think this is true, since it's so hard to get that big naturally. I think the biggest natural bodybuilder there ever was, was Steeve Reeves (one of my many idols and role models). Anyone else ever heard of him?
