Damn... Its so funny how people overlook the fact that this article is called How to Build Muscle. Not how to incorporate cardio into your mass building regimen or to disspute the fact that cardio is even needed in an mma or ma practitioners schedule. Not to mention all the bitching about doing or not doing cardio while trying to gain weight. Any idiot knows that your trying to build solid lean muscle mass with the nutrients that you take in and doing stressful cardio will boost your metabolism and cause you burn those calories that might have used to fuel your bodys muscle builing endeavors.

good info i like i like but if you do high reps very high reps that can also have the affects of cardio

Thats interesting, I have never thought about that. I would imagine the weight would have to be way low. The weight I use when I lift is always much high enough to make sure my body doesn't go aerobic.

There is a lot of controversy over the results you get from varies lifting styles (such as high weight with few reps, low weight many reps, high weight until failure, etc). The only substantial study I have found on it was one that showed that people lifting low weight for many reps build more dense muscles that have better endurance, whereas high weight with few reps and high weight until failure builds larger muscles that tire quicker but have more explosive power and overall maximum force. I am sure there are other studies in other areas out there as well.
