Question light rubber dumbbells for building striking strength and coordination?

I have 4.5kg rubber dumbbells at home and since they're too light for weight training I was wondering if/how I could use them to train my striking. I don't have a p-bag at home so is there any exercises I could do using those dumbbells to build my strength without injuring my muscles/joints? E.g. Shadowboxing with dumbbells? thanks for any tips

definitely shadowboxing with the weights will help your speed and endurance. but you can also perform repeated combinations. like 1-2-hook, 100 times or something, and this will basically do the same thing as shadowboxing, but you can concentrate on developing certain combos. good luck!

I didnt really get speed benefits from training with weights but defo good for endurance. Best thing for me was jabs! I dont do it any more but I used to throw 10 sets of 10 consecutive jabs, then 10 sets of 9 jabs, then 8 then 7 etc, etc...as quickly as possible on the retraction as well as throwing the punch out - all with good form. Then switch and do it all on the other arm! Warm up with shadow boxing first though as you could strain your elbows.
