I just discovered these 3 techniques while watching some IBJJF 2009 Championship Videos and came across this “Unstoppable” sweep video. I love sweeping and I love unstoppable sweeps. When I saw the technique done during competition, I realized that I had been trying to do something similar, but just as messing around in half guard. It was never working for me, but I felt something was there. This video game me some extra ideas. Along with this video, is a half guard from triangle and a nice simple setup for the armbar.

Mike Fowler hits his “unstoppable” sweep and passes to win 7-2 in the Semi-Finals of the 2009 IBJJF US Nationals. Mike went on to submit his opponent in the Finals for the MW title.
